Every day, our centers and hospice and home care agencies receive thanks for the care they have provided to loved ones. Many say they don't have the words to describe their appreciation and simply say, "Thanks." Below is a letter received from the son-in-law of a patient at ManorCare Health Services in Willoughby, Ohio in appreciation of the care provided by center staff.
Please accept our deepest thanks for the care and kindness provided my father-in-law during his hospice stay with ManorCare of Willoughby. Staff members were attentive, responsive, and gentle when providing Dad his medical care and personal care.
From the well-groomed room to the extra TLC he received, we felt Dad was safe and secure in your hands. There was a major step in the best direction when giving Dad toileting and hygiene. Whatever the maximum level of function and dignity that could be offered, your staff worked to provide Dad the best. As his illness progressed, he had a major decay in controlling bodily functions, but your team made him feel as good as possible, a moment of dignity and self-determination that will not be forgotten. One of the day STNAs, Elida, especially exhibited a tenderness and kindness that our entire family observed.
Again, THANK YOU, and may you and your team have a dynamic and successful 2010.
