Epicurean Delight

The table was set with Waterford crystal as Donald, a resident at Arden Courts of Towson, Maryland, was granted his Heart’s Desire of enjoying a first-class steak dinner with friends. 

Donald is a connoisseur of fine cuts of meat.  He was a frequent customer at steak houses in Baltimore prior to moving to the facility in Towson.  Donald’s Heart’s Desire was to enjoy a steak dinner with his friends Kate and John, also residents at Arden Courts, and share in his love of the dish. 

Sue, the center’s programming assistant, heard of Donald’s wish and was reminded of her late father who was a chef and had the same passion as Donald.  Sue helped to grant Donald’s wish while also honoring her father’s enjoyment.

Sue brought in her father’s finest china and elegant silverware.  They were set to make a beautiful table in the Towson conference room to complement the menu.  Kay, the marketing director, served as the waitress for the meal which included filet mignon, Maryland crab cakes stuffed with shrimp, sautéed fresh vegetables, baked potatoes with sour cream, Caesar salad, sparkling wine and Donald’s favorite dessert, key lime pie.  The friends were astounded by the place settings and meal and compared it to a “five star” restaurant experience.
