Fine Dining

It can be simple pleasures, such as sitting down for a nice meal, that make life more enjoyable.  At Heartland Health Care Center in Moline, Illinois, three lucky gentlemen had this simple wish happily fulfilled.

Theo, John and John had been tablemates for several months.  They also knew each other from the group therapy sessions.  One day at lunch, they were overheard discussing what an “ideal meal table and service” would be.  They spoke about a table set with fine china, a linen tablecloth and wine being served with the meal.

Upon hearing the three men talk about what a nice treat this would be, a lounge at Heartland was reserved for the gentlemen to share a meal together just the way they discussed.  The table was carefully set with a snow white linen table cover, borrowed china, sterling silverware and wine glasses filled with the wine the gentlemen requested.

The men were surprised and expressed their gratitude that their thoughts had been heard by Heartland.  After an enjoyable dinner and conversation, they told staff that they appreciated the “royal treatment.”
