Arden Courts Service Overview

Arden Courts begins with an extensive assessment of the resident’s requirements and preferences. We learn about his or her individual skills, interests, history and home life. Then we develop a customized service plan, outlining those services and programs the resident needs or would like. And everyone – staff, resident and family – works together to implement the plan, making ongoing assessments and adjustments as necessary.

Customized Care and Services
Arden Courts was created exclusively for persons living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, so we are able to meet our residents’ special needs – promote their independence, individuality, health and well-being. 

Programming 
Our structured activities at Arden Courts are planned and supervised by trained professionals. Programs are appropriately timed and varied, fulfilling a variety of purposes and are ongoing ten hours each day. 

Engagement Therapy Treatment®
Our Engagement Therapy Treatment (ETT) program is designed specifically for residents living with memory loss. This innovative approach integrates unique life experiences of the past with present interests. ETT programs are personalized based on the resident’s present level of cognitive and functional ability. This joining of past and present interests and skills maximizes abilities and provides a therapeutic environment for our residents. 

Life Skills
These activities enable residents to continue their routine functions by providing structure throughout the day. Making the bed, setting the table, folding the laundry and performing light housekeeping are examples of purposeful life skills we practice at Arden Courts.

Staff Training: Members of our staff are well educated in the disease process and its management – receiving extensive training and education, continual updates and refresher courses.

Our Facility: The layout for Arden Courts is residential by design – small in scale and organized into four self-contained “houses.”

• Each house has its own living room, dining room, kitchen, full/half bath and laundry room.
• Expansive outdoor walking paths encourage freedom and independence while keeping residents safe and secure.
• Arden Courts uses visual cues such as – symbols, photographs and colors – to help our residents stay oriented and as independent as possible. Arden Courts’ combines quality caregiving in a well planned, secure and simple environment that preserves the warmth, comforts and routines of home with freedom to pursue one’s own interests and enjoy one’s surroundings with just the right amount of assistance and structure to help make the most of each person’s capabilities. This is the philosophy behind Arden Courts - communities created exclusively for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias who would benefit from a safe and structured environment.
