Welcome to Heartland of Oakland, located at 925 West South Blvd, near Livernois. This state-of-the art facility opened in the winter of 2007 and features 24-hour skilled nursing and intensive rehabilitation programs for short-term patients transitioning from hospital to home. The center offers spacious rehabilitation areas, attractive social areas, outdoor courtyards and private and semi-private rooms. In addition, the center offers amenities to meet the short term patient's personal needs including home assessment, family education, an internet cafe, free WiFi service for patients and their family members and a coffee bar. Flat screen televisions in the rooms have speakers that can be placed on the pillow or bedside for more privacy and convenience. The call light system includes a paging system directly to the staff which allows for quicker response and less noise from an overhead paging system
