Developing Our Leaders
The overall objective of HCR ManorCare’s Leadership Development Program is to identify, recognize and develop our high-potential employees in preparation for them to be considered for more senior, critical positions within the company. It means identifying those individuals whose attributes single them out as ones who aspire to more responsibility, who have the talent and skills to be effective in a more senior role and who are committed to building a long-term career with HCR ManorCare.
Supervisors are asked to evaluate those employees who have already attained a high degree of responsibility and who are viewed to have the potential to do even more. These employees are then mentored and given opportunities to expand their knowledge, skills and experience. It is part of a current leader’s responsibilities to be watchful for talent and include appropriate candidates in the Leadership Development Program.
The goal of our Leadership Development Program is to have highly skilled and tenured individuals in leadership roles and ensure we are providing opportunities to support and engage our high-potential employees in preparing them to be our future leaders.
